Why it matters: Before you switch or upgrade, check which jobs use your pool, especially if you code a lot in Cursor. If your Cursor and Grok accounts use different emails, expect linking trouble and send support both emails.

Eric Zakariasson (@ericzakariasson) of Cursor, which is part of SpaceXSI, posted a prompt that asks to look through your last two weeks of emails, meetings, Slack messages and docs, and list the tasks you did more than once. Later that morning, Elon Musk told people to "think of Grok Bot as a work colleague".

Key points

For each repeated task, the prompt asks for a one-line description, how often you did it, how long it takes, and whether the bot could do it and what access it would need.
It ends by asking for the top 3 tasks to automate first, ranked by time saved, with a routine or a dedicated bot for each.
The bot can only see what it is connected to. Connect email, calendar and Slack first, or tell it what is missing.
Elon Musk was quoting gaut (@0xgaut), who says Grok Bot feels like talking to a coworker: "Shorter sentences, less BS and fluff." Musk's post has more than 5,500 likes.

Why it matters: This is a quick way to pick your first routine. Read the list before you give the bot any new access, and start with the task that saves the most time.

That night, two r/grok users posted Grok chat replies made of random words. On r/GrokBot, a user who moved to a unified plan says their bots keep reporting computer resets and losing progress.

Key points

The incident note came from Cursor's official status and was posted by the incident-feed account on r/GrokBot. It did not say which services were hit.
u/dairycheez and u/Nervous_Reality800 posted word-salad replies to simple messages like "Hello" at about 11:15pm MYT on 31 Oct. There is no official note on this yet.
u/xtrememutt says their bots restored from a backup on a private Hindsight memory server and reread the chat history to carry on.
u/Gulags69 says will not make images larger than 720p for their webnovel art.

Why it matters: Save long projects outside the bot's computer, in files, a repo or notes, so a reset doesn't wipe the work. If replies turn to nonsense, start a new chat and check the .

The 27-minute talk video is real, but the job title and the results are not confirmed. Other viral posts promise trading profits from .

Key points

The @akarixbt post does not name the speaker and points readers to a guide. Treat the numbers as claims until someone checkable stands behind them.
Gull (@0xGull) shows a bot drawn as a seagull and claims about RM6,200 (US$1,500) became RM24,700 (US$6,020) in 25 seconds. No real trading records are shown.
@yoamnycruz claims Grok Bot reverse-engineered the Binance and Polymarket hacks from one prompt. There is no proof.
u/ruqaiah on r/GrokBot says Instagram restricted them after their bot sent 2-3 outreach messages. Apps can flag automated messages, so keep bots to low-volume replies.

Why it matters: Bot-team talks can give you ideas, but they are not proof. Tell community members and clients not to buy bots, tokens or courses because of these posts.

Cursor says a modified copy of the Claude Code , versions 2.1.312 and 2.1.313 for Windows and macOS, was available in the Cursor IDE extension marketplace from 5:27pm on 29 Oct to 4:35am on 30 Oct MYT. Anthropic did not make it. At most 5,000 users were affected. Cursor took the marketplace down, rotated its keys and rebuilt it, and says , Grok and other SpaceXSI products were not affected.

Key points

Official: the fake extension tried to add an attacker labelled "svc-telemetry", open a and start itself on every login. It also sent basic computer details out.
Official: the tunnel mostly failed without admin rights, and the attacker's server is now offline.
Official: update the extension to 2.1.314. On macOS or Linux, check for the key with grep -qs svc-telemetry ~/.ssh/authorized_keys, then run Cursor's clean-up script.
If you installed it in that window, change the passwords and API keys that were on that computer.

Why it matters: Grok Bot itself was not hit, but many Grok Bot users also code in Cursor. If you or a client did, run the check today and change keys before connecting that laptop to your bots.

The real Binance hack on 29 Oct, which X's news summary puts at about RM25.6 billion (US$6.3 billion), set off posts claiming saved or multiplied crypto money. One account says its bot pulled about RM434,000 (US$107,000) out before withdrawals were locked. Nothing backs this up, and SpaceXSI has said nothing about it. Other viral 'bot turned a small stake into thousands' posts say in small print that the numbers are simulated.

Key points

@sharpbyte_ claims its Grok Bot caught the exploit and moved about RM434,000 (US$107,000). There is no proof, and nothing official says Grok Bot did this.
@rugikkk's bot post, about RM6,100 to RM68,500 (US$1,500 to US$16,880), says "illustrative build, numbers simulated".
On r/GrokBot, a user says they ask Grok to look for exposed data in competitors' websites and backends. Probing systems you don't own can break computer-crime laws, including Malaysia's.
Treat 'my bot made me money' posts as ads until they show real, checkable records.

Key points

Auto Review is the safety check that looks at a bot's actions before they run. During the slowdown, some actions were held or slower.
u/Thin-Trade-6113 says even simple commands time out on the bot's computer and support has not replied. Restarting the computer from settings did not fix it for them.
u/Legal-Blacksmith9423 sees "disabled by team admin" for SharePoint although they are the only admins. There is no public fix yet.
The "Ask Claude" right-click item comes from the Claude desktop app installed on the same computer, not from Grok Bot. Turn it off in your computer's settings if you don't want it.

Why it matters: If a bot's computer hangs for more than a day, move urgent routines to a backup and keep a record of your support request. Check status before blaming your setup.

Products now show as cards with photos, rating, price and store, and Buy now starts an order that you approve. can be added in the 's Payments tab. New templates start a free trial and cancel it or remind you before it bills, find subscriptions you no longer use, and watch renewal prices.

The official changelog for v0.77.0 (26 Oct) lists a new section in Settings, where you set which actions always ask you and which can run without asking. gets a Payments tab to pick a default payment method, but each purchase still needs your approval. You can also import memory from another AI assistant, and question cards can now ask several questions at once with a space for your own answer.
