can now make phone calls for you. The official @grok account says it works on eligible US accounts (not in Washington or Illinois), to US numbers, in the latest iPhone app, and is still rolling out. You tell your Bot who to call and what you need, and it talks to the person for you.

Key points

Elon Musk told people on 3 Nov to try asking Grok Bot to make calls. There is no changelog entry for it yet, says the unofficial site grokbot.guru.
Users say you approve each call first on an , a live transcript shows during the call, and the Bot asks you in the chat if it needs a detail it does not have.
The Grok Bot Terms (updated 31 Oct, section 2.7) say you are the . Only call people who agreed to hear from you. Marketing, mass calls, fraud, harassment and impersonation are not allowed.
Every call says a virtual assistant is calling for you and may be recorded, and you cannot turn that off. It is not a phone service and cannot reach emergency numbers.

Why it matters: Hold music and phone menus are a big time sink. For now this only works in the US, so Malaysian users cannot use it yet.

His screenshot also shows the ticket was not fully confirmed at first, so the Bot offered to check it later with the booking reference.
Alan Doan (@alandoan17) in Vietnam likes the new phone calls but notes they work with US numbers only for now.
In Singapore, Matt (@Matt_INHK) says more friends now pay for Grok Bot. Nix Ron (@nixeniego) says his Grok Bot Philippines group is close to 2,500 members.

Why it matters: Bookings in the region already work. Before you trust one, check the airline's own confirmation email or page.

Why it matters: Tell people first that a call from a strange number is your Bot. For health or money calls, check the facts yourself.

Their export had 15,583 rows from 5 Oct to 3 Nov. They say last week used 711.7M tokens without hitting the limit, while 207.7M tokens this week already counted as 40.1% of the limit.
They say tokens per request stayed about the same, roughly 80,000 to 130,000.
Support told them it was a bug and that limits were back to normal. They disagree and say they have filed a formal complaint.
They are asking other users to export and share their numbers. SpaceXSI has not posted anything about it.

Why it matters: If your limit feels smaller, your own usage export is the best evidence. Compare the weeks before and after 1 Nov before you upgrade or complain.

Later that day, many users on r/GrokBot and X said their weekly meters fell back, often by about half, with the same reset date. SpaceXSI has not explained the drop, and the pricing and limits pages look unchanged.

Users reported drops such as 100% to 52% (u/Pano021), 86% back from 100% (u/Toraadoraa) and 40% to 21% (u/Haunting_Jump6471).
u/jadmorffier logged their meter by hand: it jumped from 29.8% to 59.8% in 7 hours on about 0.5M tokens, then fell to 37.3%. They call it a likely reversal, not a confirmed one.
The same user emailed support with meter readings, token counts and a usage CSV. An AI support agent replied with a ticket number; no human reply yet.
Some users say tasks still use about twice as much of the as before. That is a community claim, not an official figure.

Why it matters: Your meter may already look better, but limits seem tighter than last month. Write down your meter reading each day so you can show support exact numbers if it jumps again.

delost (@thedelost) says SpaceXAI "just shared" a trick with the command grokbot routine add nightly --gate send. We found no official post or documentation for this command. The general idea, that a routine should stop before it sends, spends or deletes, is sensible.
u/hossein1376 argues on r/GrokBot that the 100% jump is a quiet cut to the weekly quota, not a bug. The called it a dashboard incident, and we found no SpaceXSI statement that quotas changed.
Accounts posting "This is f*cking insane" clips of SpaceXSI staff, such as Lauren Tan and an engineer named as Nick Miller, push readers to outside links. Watch the original talks instead.
Elon Musk posted that Grok Bot "will research gifts that your friends and family would love and buy them". We found no matching feature announcement. Do not let a bot buy anything without your OK.

Why it matters: Copy commands and prompts only from official docs or people you can check. A command that does not exist wastes time, and a rumour about quotas can push people into upgrades they do not need.
