Notion Meeting Notes now labels each speaker in Google Meet
On 28 Oct 2026 (MYT), Notion announced a new AI Meeting Notes Notion’s feature that records a meeting, writes a summary, and can hand that summary to agents or workflows.Chrome extension A small add-on you install in the Google Chrome browser that adds features to websites, here to Google Meet. for Google Meet. Before, a transcript only had two speakers: you and everyone else. Notion says every speaker now gets their own label, so you can see who said what. Community posts that day described how it works in practice.
What we learned
Official: the @NotionHQ post says each person in a Google Meet call now gets their own name label in the transcript.
Community (Mortz, @TheMortz): the Chrome add-on also pins a message in the Meet chat so people know they are being transcribed.
Community (SiEdge, @SiEdgeGeek): only the note taker needs the add-on, and you can then ask Notion for action items per person.
This is for Google Meet in Chrome. Notion's post did not mention Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Why it matters: Client meetings on Google Meet now give per-person notes and action items, a simple demo for workshops. Remind teams to tell attendees they are being transcribed.

Singapore gets a Notion finance meetup on 12 Nov
Notion's 29 Oct community events list includes Singapore on Thursday 12 Nov 2026. The Notion Singapore Community's Luma A website where community groups list events and people register to attend. page shows that event: "NotionSG SME Series: Is Your Business Finance Ready?", 6:30 to 9 pm SGT at Aspire, 158 Cecil Street. Notion Ambassador A community member recognised by Notion who runs local events and helps others learn Notion. Nasri Nasir will demo a Finance-Readiness Hub built in Notion. Separately, Singapore AI security startup FailSafe (@getfailsafe) said it co-hosted an Enterprise AI Mixer with OpenAI, Supabase, Notion and AWS during Founders Forum Asia.
Key learnings
The SME session covers financial records, funding needs and cash-flow visibility, with a Notion template to take home (per the Luma listing).
Registration needs host approval. The organisers say it is general education, not personal financial advice.
Notion's global list also shows Tokyo (14 Nov), Melbourne (13 Nov), Yokohama (28 Nov) and Sydney (24 Nov) nearby in Asia-Pacific.
No new Notion Malaysia event was listed in the sources checked this run; the last KL one was Sip & Chill on 24 Oct.
Why it matters: A Singapore SME finance use case is close to what Malaysian SME clients ask for. Worth watching how NotionSG runs it, and noting the gap for a KL session.

A brand-less San Francisco billboard puts Notion beside AI apps
On 28 Oct 2026 (MYT), marketing strategist Michael J. Miraflor (@michaelmiraflor) asked X whether a San Francisco billboard was any good. It shows app icons like Notion, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Grok in a phone-dock style, with no company name. Miraflor later replied that it is a Notion billboard, and argued that most people who see it will not know who it is from. Notion itself had not commented in the posts checked this run.
Key learnings
The post drew about 130 replies and nearly 30,000 views, split between "clever mystery" and "confusing".
Miraflor's view: an ad with no brand gives free space to every logo on it.
Who paid for the billboard is Miraflor's claim, not a Notion statement.
The billboard photo comes from Miraflor; we did not find an independent report on it this run.
Why it matters: It shows Notion positioning itself next to the big AI assistants, which is how clients increasingly see it. Do not repeat it as confirmed Notion news.

A YouTuber's clip shows Notion on the iPhone Duo
A short clip shared on X by Osama (@osama_latrache) shows Notion running on the iPhone Duo, credited to YouTuber Stephen Robles. Osama said Notion "did a decent job" on the device, and @NotionHQ reposted it. Notion announced iPhone Duo support on 23 Oct; this is a creator's hands-on look, not an official review.
Key learnings
The 27-second clip comes from a Stephen Robles video, per Osama's post.
It shows how Notion uses the extra screen space, which Notion first described in its 23 Oct post.
This is one creator's demo; we did not check other independent reviews this run.
Why it matters: Useful when clients ask whether Notion works well on new phones. Point them to a real demo, not just Notion's own post.
