On 5 Nov 2026 (MYT), Notion's official X account said your AI agents can now share one memory in Notion. It named ChatGPT, Claude, Muse and Bot: each can save what it learns to the same Notion memory and use the same Skills Reusable written instructions that teach an AI how your team likes a job done, shared from a Notion library.. You start by giving your agent a setup prompt from Notion's developer site.
Key points
- Notion gives a ready prompt for ChatGPT and one for Claude. For other agents, you paste the prompt from developers.notion.com/prompts/setup. The guide is version 0.0.6, published 30 Oct 2026.
- The prompt connects the agent to Notion and offers two choices: Shared context layer Notion's recommended setup where your agents save memories, work and skills to private Notion pages so every agent can use them. (recommended), where your Memories A community-discussed Notion feature for lasting agent context; Notion has confirmed MCP memory sync officially, while the Memories product name is still lightly documented., work and skills are saved to private Notion pages, or Basic setup, where only a short guide is added and nothing else is saved.
- The agent creates a private Agent Operating Guide A private Notion page that tells your AI agents your preferences and where to save things. They read it before working. page that other agents read first. The guide says it should still ask before putting anything in a shared or team space, changing sharing, deleting or scheduling work.
- The guide tells agents not to save passwords, secrets or small talk. A daily routine called Daily Notion memory and setup check is optional and needs your clear yes.
Why it matters: If you use more than one AI tool, you no longer have to explain the same things to each one. Start with Basic setup if you want to see how it works before saving memories.
