Notion's new AI credits start today for existing Business workspaces
From 2 Nov 2026, existing Notion Business and Enterprise workspaces move to the new AI credit system, per Notion's help pages. Each member gets 1,500 Standard credits Monthly Notion AI credits for work where Notion picks the model for you. a month for work where Notion picks the model (Auto Notion’s model router that picks which AI model to use for each task so you do not have to choose one yourself.), and 500 Select credits Monthly Notion AI credits for work where you pick the model yourself, or use a Custom Agent you set up. for work where you pick the model yourself or use your own Custom Agent A Notion AI agent you set up with its own instructions, tools and triggers to run a recurring job for your team.. Unused credits don't roll over, and your amount may differ by plan.
What we learned
Check your own balance in Settings, then Notion AI, then Usage. Notion also warns you in Agent chat when you are running low.
When a balance runs out, those features pause until the monthly reset, unless your admin lets you carry on with paid, shared Notion credits A shared, paid balance an admin manages, used when members run out or for workspace-funded agents..
Per the help page, AI Meeting Notes Notion’s feature that records a meeting, writes a summary, and can hand that summary to agents or workflows. start counting against Standard credits on 1 Dec 2026, and Workers (beta) use no credits while in beta.
Running an agent through the Notion API or a connected app uses the workspace's Notion credits, not your own.
Why it matters: Picking a model yourself uses the smaller Select balance, so leaving Notion Agent Notion’s built-in AI assistant that can read your workspace, answer questions, and take actions you approve. on Auto stretches your month further. Admins should decide today whether to allow extra shared credits.

Some posts this weekend promise premium AI models inside Notion for little or nothing. On X, the account AI Pulse Daily (@ramalanbin1952) offered "Notion AI access via Gmail invite" with Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT 6.1, for a price of 30k with no currency named, paid only by QRIS A QR code payment system used in Indonesia., a QR payment system used in Indonesia. The seller itself says it relies on a bug Notion may patch. A Russian-language YouTube video with about 16,600 views calls the same models a free "gift from Notion" that works on 2 Nov, but sends viewers to a Telegram bot for the guide.
Key learnings
We found nothing from Notion about a free model giveaway. Notion's help pages describe paid plans and credits only.
The X seller gives no guarantee and says the trick may stop working at any time.
Paying a stranger for access, or joining a workspace through an unknown invite, can put your account and data at risk.

His point: teams forget which AI skill A saved set of instructions in Notion that tells Notion AI how to do a task your team repeats. exist, so put the trigger on the page where the work happens, like a meeting database or a sales dashboard. These are his own setups and views.
Key learnings
Example in the video: process a meeting with one click, with a person still in the loop.
Other examples: book a meeting straight from a CRM record, and daily briefing and wrap-up buttons.

Teach Claude or ChatGPT how you like your Notion pages
Jeff Su (@JeffSu) posted a 14-minute video on 27 Oct 2026, with about 70,000 views so far. He says that when AI tools keep making Notion pages you have to fix, you should write your preferences down once in a "Notion Conventions" page. That page covers your databases, templates and formatting, and the AI reads it before it works. This is his own method, not Notion news.
Key learnings
He starts small, with tasks and notes, then uses the same approach for whole projects with linked tasks and deliverables.
He says it works with Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, and you keep the Notion setup you already have.

Researchers find Notion AI summaries in one column hard to skim
Shreya Shankar (@sh_reya), an incoming assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon, shared her group's blog post on writing AI text that people can scan quickly. As a bad example, they let Notion Autofill A Notion AI database property that fills in each row for you, such as a summary. a Summary column for 10 GitHub issues with default settings. The summaries started in different ways and called the same thing an "issue" in some rows and a "page" in another.
Key learnings
Their rule: give every item the same structure and use one word for each idea.
Start each item with its subject or a verb, and put the words that make it different first.
Only vary the format when the difference means something.
