One shared memory in Notion for ChatGPT, Claude and other agents
On 5 Nov 2026 (MYT), Notion's official X account said your AI agents can now share one memory in Notion. It named ChatGPT, Claude, Muse and Bot: each can save what it learns to the same Notion memory and use the same Skills Reusable written instructions that teach an AI how your team likes a job done, shared from a Notion library.. You start by giving your agent a setup prompt from Notion's developer site.
What we learned
Notion gives a ready prompt for ChatGPT and one for Claude. For other agents, you paste the prompt from developers.notion.com/prompts/setup. The guide is version 0.0.6, published 30 Oct 2026.
The prompt connects the agent to Notion and offers two choices: Shared context layer Notion's recommended setup where your agents save memories, work and skills to private Notion pages so every agent can use them. (recommended), where your Memories A community-discussed Notion feature for lasting agent context; Notion has confirmed MCP memory sync officially, while the Memories product name is still lightly documented., work and skills are saved to private Notion pages, or Basic setup, where only a short guide is added and nothing else is saved.
The agent creates a private Agent Operating Guide A private Notion page that tells your AI agents your preferences and where to save things. They read it before working. page that other agents read first. The guide says it should still ask before putting anything in a shared or team space, changing sharing, deleting or scheduling work.
The guide tells agents not to save passwords, secrets or small talk. A daily routine called Daily Notion memory and setup check is optional and needs your clear yes.
Why it matters: If you use more than one AI tool, you no longer have to explain the same things to each one. Start with Basic setup if you want to see how it works before saving memories.

Four small teams use AI agents with Notion to save months
A Notion blog post on 3 Nov by Jordan Miller shares how small teams connect AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude to Notion through Notion MCP Notion's connector that lets AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude read and write your Notion pages, if you allow it., a link that lets AI agents read and write your pages. These are the teams' own accounts, told on Notion's blog.
Key learnings
Aaron Lambert of Twin City Distributors, a 16-person paper business in Labrador City, Canada, says ChatGPT built a customer list database from a phone photo, and his team fills a how-to database with voice notes.
Maryanne Mitchem of Dance Academy of Virginia (more than 50 staff and 1,200 students) says Claude checked their Google Drive and moved hundreds of files into Notion in 2.5 weeks, against an estimated 6 months by hand.
Writer Anna Burgess Yang keeps her writing voice guide in Notion. Marking a draft as Ready for Claude starts the next step, and her Claude skill is stored in Notion too.
The post also covers a digital billboard company that keeps one library any agent can use, and an AI product leader who works with Claude Code Anthropic's AI tool that writes and edits software for you from plain-language requests..
Why it matters: You don't need a big IT team. Even a small shop can start by snapping a photo of a paper list and asking an AI tool to turn it into a Notion database.

Notion Calendar's rebuilt iPhone and iPad app arrives with early bugs
This week Notion Calendar released a new iPhone and iPad app, rebuilt from scratch. Raphael Schaad (@raphaelschaad), who co-founded Cron, which became Notion Calendar, says it replaces the 2021 app. Early users like the new views, while some report bugs, and the Notion Calendar account says a quick follow-up update is coming.
Key learnings
Per Raphael Schaad, the new app keeps features like swiping from the edge to see time zones and merging duplicate events.
Czech user @dalamusil says it finally adds week, month and schedule views on iPhone and iPad, and works offline. Reddit users also cheered the first proper iPad app.
Some users are less happy: @var_epsilon reports many design bugs, and @ma5abe says blocking out time is harder now.
@NotionCalendar replied that a fast follow-up release will bring improvements and bring back missing features. Notion co-founder Ivan Zhao also said a full native Notion mobile app is coming very soon.
Why it matters: If you plan your day on your phone, update the app and try the new week and month views. If a feature you rely on is missing, wait for the follow-up update before changing how you work.

Notion's CEO says agents now create about half of Notion pages
On 5 Nov 2026 (MYT), Notion co-founder and CEO Ivan Zhao posted an essay on X about Notion's next chapter. He says Notion now wants to be the place where people and AI agents from any company keep the context, meaning the background facts, they need to do good work. The figures below are Notion's own, not independently checked.
Key learnings
Ivan says roughly half of the pages in Notion are now created by agents, and AI use inside Notion is up 9 times this year.
He says the bigger signal is outside agents: Notion MCP Notion's connector that lets AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude read and write your Notion pages, if you allow it. use is up about 60 times this year, as agents built by other companies use Notion to store their context.
He writes that about 70% of Notion's business is still outside the US, and recalls how the founders once moved to Kyoto to start over.
Team changes: design, product and engineering now sit under CTO Max Schoening, marketing was split in two, finance reviews now happen several times a week, and Notion is searching for a new CFO.
Why it matters: It explains the push behind this week's news, like shared agent memory. Expect Notion to keep adding ways for outside AI tools to work with your pages, so review what you have shared with them.
